President of Argentina is in Brazil for the 63rd Mercosur Summit, in Rio; he leaves office on December 10

The president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, said that meeting Brazilian leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) “It’s always a reason for joy”. He shared, in his profile not X (ex-Twitter), a video hugging the PT member this Thursday (Dec 7, 2023), in Rio de Janeiro. Both will participate in the 63rd Summit of Mercosur Heads of State. The event at the Museum of Tomorrow ends the PPTB (Brazilian Pro Tempore Presidency) in the block and begins the Paraguayan Pro Tempore Presidency. Earlier, Lula said he was sad about the end of the Argentine president’s term, as the two have a friendly relationship. The inauguration of the elected president, Javier Milei, will be on December 10th.
