Ingredients
- Dough
1 whole egg
2 tablespoons of sugar
50 grams of butter or margarine
1 and 1/3 cup wheat flour
1/2 tablespoon chemical baking powder
- Stuffing
1/2 cup lemon juice (lemon)
1 box and 1/2 of condensed milk
- Meringue
1/4 cup (tea) of sugar
2 egg whites
Directions
- Mix an egg very well with the butter or margarine and the sugar.
Add the flour, baking powder and mix until homogenized. - Open the dough in a round baking dish 22 cm wide by 4 cm high and spread it all over the bottom and sides, pressing with your fingers.
- Make holes in the dough with a fork and bake it for about 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 200º₢.
- For the filling mix the condensed milk with the lemon juice in a small bowl and set aside.
- Time to prepare the meringue: with a mixer beat the egg whites with the sugar very well, until it increases in volume and becomes snowy.
- With the dough already cold, place and spread the filling, then add the meringue on top and using the back of a spoon make peaks to decorate.
- Place the pie in the oven with the grill on and bake until the meringue is golden brown.
- Leave the lemon tart in the fridge for a few hours before serving and the dessert is ready.
