Ingredients
500g minced meat (preferably duckling)
1 cup of wheat for kibbeh
1 large chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1 teaspoon of Syrian pepper
1 teaspoon cumin powder
Salt to taste
Frying oil
Directions
- Place the wheat in a bowl and add enough water to cover it.Â
Let it soak for at least 30 minutes. - In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic in a little oil until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sauteed onion, sylli pepper, ground cumin and salt to taste.Â
Mix well. - Add the pre-hydrated wheat to the ground meat mixture and knead with your hands until well incorporated.
- With wet hands, form small balls of meat and flatten them slightly to form kibbeh.
- Heat the oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- When the oil is hot, fry the kibbeh in small batches until golden brown and crispy.Â
Drain on absorbent paper before serving. - Serve the fried kebab with lemon and mint sauce to taste.
