Internet users have been sharing since Friday (May 31, 2024) a video of US President Joe Biden, “locked” and with a smile on his face when asked by a reporter whether former President Donald Trump is a political prisoner.
At the time, Biden was giving a press interview about the US proposal for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and the extremist group Hamas. When he finished his speech, Biden left the pulpit. Then, he was asked about the Republican.

“Mr. President, can you tell us, Donald Trump refers to himself as a political prisoner and blames you directly. What is your response to that?”, asks the reporter. Biden then turns around with a smile, says nothing and walks back.

Trump was convicted
The New York Court convicted former US President Donald Trump on Thursday (May 30, 2024) of falsifying business records.
The Republican was found guilty of the 34 charges brought against him, which involve covering up a payment made to porn actress Stormy Daniels during the election campaign that led him to the Presidency in 2016 so that she would not disclose an extramarital affair between the two.
With this, Trump became the first president in US history to be convicted of a crime.
Shortly after the verdict, Trump’s campaign classified him as “political prisoner”.
