Homemade Nutella (Hazelnut Cream)

In addition to being cheap and easy to make, this Homemade Nutella (Hazelnut Cream) will be very similar to the original.


  • 2 cups of roasted hazelnuts

  • 1/2 cup of sugar

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil


  • Place the roasted hazelnuts in a food processor and grind until you get a smooth, creamy paste. 
    This can take about 10 minutes.
  • Add the sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and salt to the hazelnut paste and mix well.
  • Add the coconut oil and mix again until the mixture is completely homogeneous.
  • Taste the mixture and add more sugar or cocoa powder if desired.
  • Place the mixture in a glass jar with a lid and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
