Singer appears in art holding a smartphone with a photo from the Celular Seguro program; Rosagela Moro questions whether the artist “knows” that the organization is using her image
The Ministry of Justice and Public Security shared this Saturday (May 4, 2024) on its social networks a campaign from the Celular Seguro program with the image of the singer Madonna. The piece encourages the public who will go to the artist’s show on Copacabana beach, in Rio, to use the application that blocks the device in case of robbery or theft.
“Imagine having a security button capable of blocking criminals from accessing financial applications, emails and shopping platforms on your cell phone in the event of robbery or theft. Take cover! Download the Celular Seguro app and enjoy the queen of pop’s show”says the Publication.
The artwork shows an image of Madonna holding a smartphone that displays a photo from the Celular Seguro program on the screen. It is accompanied by graphic elements, such as a seal that says: “Don’t be silly! Register your device with Celular Seguro and don’t have a headache during the pop queen’s show”.
The federal deputy Rosagela Moro (Brazil-SP Union) questioned on her profile on X (formerly Twitter) if the artist “he knows” that the ministry is using your image in an advertisement.
O Poder360 sought out the Ministry of Justice to find out if the agency received authorization to use Madonna’s photo in the Celular Seguro program campaign, but received no response until the publication of this report. The space remains open.
