An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 hit the city of New York (USA) this Friday morning (April 5, 2024). According to the USGS (United States Geological Survey, translated into Portuguese), the epicenter was in the Whitehouse Station region, in the north of the State of New Jersey and approximately 70 km from NY.
Although it is considered a minor earthquake, residents of New York reported on social media that they felt the tremor. There is still no information about injuries or damaged structures.
