Ingredients

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 1 cup of cornmeal

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 3 eggs

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a baking form with butter and flour.
  • In a bowl, mix the sugar, cornmeal and milk.
  • Add eggs and oil and mix well.
  • Then add the wheat flour and baking powder and mix again until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into the greased tin and bake for about 40 to 50 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a skewer comes out clean.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
