Chocolate Pavé

Chocolate pavé is a classic dessert that pleases all palates. With alternating layers of cream, biscuit and chocolate, this delight combines irresistible textures and flavors.

Ideal for parties, family gatherings or even for that special moment, chocolate pavê is easy to prepare and will certainly win the hearts of your guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 500 ml of milk

  • 1 sifted egg yolk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder or chocolate powder

  • 1 tablespoon of butter

  • 100 g chopped semisweet chocolate

  • 200 ml of cream

  • 1 packet of cornstarch or champagne biscuits

  • 200 ml of milk (to moisten the cookies)

  • Grated or sprinkled chocolate for decoration

Directions

  • In a pan, mix the condensed milk, the cornstarch dissolved in the milk, the sifted egg yolk and the vanilla essence.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • Set aside and let cool.
  • In another pan, mix the condensed milk, cocoa powder, butter and semisweet chocolate.
  • Cook over low heat, stirring until a consistent cream forms.
  • Remove from heat, add the cream and mix well. Let cool.
  • In a baking dish, make a layer of biscuits soaked in milk.
  • Cover with a layer of white cream.
  • Add another layer of biscuits and then the chocolate cream.
  • Repeat the layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with the chocolate cream.
  • Decorate with grated chocolate or sprinkles.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving so that the pavê is firm and tasty.
