500g chicken breast cut into strips
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
200g sliced ​​mushrooms (optional)
3 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon of ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 cup of cream
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Chopped parsley to decorate
Directions
- Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat.Â
Add the chopped onion and chopped garlic, sautéing until soft and slightly golden. - Add the chicken cut into strips to the pan and sauté until it is well cooked and golden on the outside.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- If you are using mushrooms, add them to the pan and cook for a few more minutes until they are soft.
- Then add the ketchup and mustard to the chicken and mix well, ensuring all the chicken pieces are covered in the sauce.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the cream to the skillet.Â
Stir gently to incorporate the cream into the sauce. - Let it cook for a few more minutes until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the salt and pepper if necessary.
- Remove from the heat and serve the chicken stroganoff hot, accompanied by white rice, French fries, mashed potatoes or pasta.Â
Sprinkle chopped parsley on top to decorate.
