Ingredients

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar

  • 1 cup warm milk

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • 1 cup of chocolate powder (or 50% cocoa)

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 100g grated coconut

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1/2 box of cream (optional, to make it creamier)

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1/2 box of cream

  • Chocolate sprinkles for decoration

Directions

  • In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until light. Add the oil and warm milk. Mix in the cocoa powder and then gradually add the flour. Finish with the yeast.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes or until the toothpick test comes out clean.
  • In a saucepan, add the condensed milk, coconut and butter. Cook over medium heat until it comes away from the bottom. If you want it creamier, add cream at the end.
  • Mix all ingredients over medium heat until thickened. Add cream at the end to add shine and smoothness.
  • Cut the cake in half, fill it with the beijinho, cover with the other half and spread the frosting on top. Decorate with sprinkles. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
