Two Brazilian women went to the Brazilian embassy in Warsaw, Poland, because they felt threatened after a publication on the social network X made by far-right Polish deputy Dominik Tarczyński.

The parliamentarian posted a photo of the two women on the day of the first round of elections in Brazil, asking for information about them as a matter of urgency.

After receiving contact from the embassy, Itamaraty informed that it is following the case.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Brazilian Embassy in Warsaw, was notified of the situation by Brazilian citizens. The consular sector of the Embassy was available to provide consular assistance to nationals, if requested”, stated the body, in a note.

In the photo, the two Brazilians showed support for Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, making the letter L with their hands. One of them had a Workers’ Party pin, a detail that was highlighted by the parliamentarian in the post.

“If anyone has information about these women, please contact me via direct message. URGENT,” Tarczyński posted. It was this message that alarmed the two Brazilian women, whose names were not released by Itamaraty.

Dominik Tarczyński is a member of the European Parliament and a supporter of Donald Trump. Also through X, he congratulated Flávio Bolsonaro on the result in the first round and posted a photo with the PL candidate and his brother Eduardo Bolsonaro, convicted in Brazil for coercion during the process and currently residing in the United States.
