Bettina Cadenbach, 62, is the current Deputy Secretary General of NATO; she was German ambassador to Georgia
Itamaraty announced this Thursday (June 29, 2023) that the Brazilian government approved the nomination of German diplomat Bettina Cadenbach, 62, to the German Embassy in Brazil. The step is technically called granting approval –French word for agreement. Cadenbach is currently Assistant Secretary General of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) for political affairs and security policy. She has been in the role since 2019.
