The President of the USA spoke this Sunday (28 April) with the Prime Minister of Israel; also dealt with the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region

The President of the United States, Joe Biden (Democrat), spoke this Sunday (April 28, 2024) with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu (Likud, right-wing), and again demanded a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The 2 would have analyzed the ongoing negotiations dealing with the release of hostages held by Hamas.

Biden would have reminded the Israeli prime minister of the joint statement made with 17 other countries demanding the release of the hostages to ensure a truce and humanitarian aid for the region’s inhabitants.

“The president highlighted the need for this progress to be sustained and improved in full coordination with humanitarian organizations. The leaders discussed Rafah and the president reiterated his clear position“, says the White House in a note.

The US government statement also states that the president reaffirmed the “firm commitment” with Israel’s security after the attack suffered by Iran on April 13.
