Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • Paper towel

Directions

  • Wash the potatoes well and dry with a paper towel.
  • Make small holes in the skin of the potatoes with a fork.
  • Place the potatoes in a microwave-safe dish.
  • Drizzle the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  • Cover the dish with a lid or plastic wrap, leaving a small opening for ventilation.
  • Microwave the potatoes for about 5 to 8 minutes at full power, depending on the size of the potatoes and the power of your microwave.
  • It’s important to stop the microwave every 2-3 minutes to turn the potatoes and make sure they are cooking evenly.
  • Check that the potatoes are tender when skewered with a fork.
  • Remove the potatoes from the microwave and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • You can serve the baked potatoes with butter, grated cheese, sour cream, fresh herbs or any other topping you prefer.
