Marcelo Tognozzi launches book with collection of articles this Wednesday

The journalist and columnist of Poder360 Marcelo Tognozzi, 64 years old, launches this Wednesday (10.Jul.2024) his new book, “Ninguém Segura Este Monstro – Manipular, Mentir & Polarizar”. The work is a collection of 100 articles written for this digital newspaper. The book signing will be at the Livraria da Vila branch in Vila Madalena, west side of São Paulo, at 6 pm.

“My articles provide the reader with a look at Brazilian and world politics over the last 5 years. My analyses are made from historical perspectives.”says Tognozzi.

Like the one from January 28, 2023, when he warned about the chances of Javier Milei becoming president of Argentina: ‘There is no power vacuum in politics […] And the customs agenda is already being beaten into Argentine politics by right-wing congressman Javier Milei, from the Libertarian Party […] He is against everything and everyone, but he is not an idiot. Milei is an intellectual who acts driven by reason much more than by emotion, although he may have a bit of Bolsonaro, a portion of Trump, another pinch of Boris Johnson and a few more bits of Marine Le Pen. The book contains articles written over the last 5 years. They deal with important political events and scenarios in Brazil and around the world, from the rise of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), the resurgence of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), the wars in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip, and the victory of Javier Milei in Argentina.

“Tognozzi provides lucidity and reason, offering the reader the truth, the knowledge that brings the necessary light to understand the stormy phase that humanity is going through”says writer and journalist Nei Lima Figueiredo, author of the book’s preface.

After São Paulo, the book will be launched in Brasília, Recife and Rio.
