For your Wheat Cake to be fluffy and tasty, use the ingredients below and follow the instructions in the preparation method.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 cup butter (at room temperature)

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter and flour.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. 
    Reserve.
  • In another bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 
    Add the vanilla essence and mix again.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour. 
    Beat on low speed just until the ingredients are incorporated.
  • Be careful not to over-beat.
  • Pour the dough into the prepared mold and level the surface with a spatula.
  • Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. 
    Then transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely.
