Ingredients
500g wheat flour
1 sachet of dry yeast (10g)
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of salt
1 egg
1/4 cup oil
300ml of warm water
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, dry yeast, sugar and salt.
- Add the egg and oil and mix well.
- Add the warm water little by little and mix with a wooden spoon or with your hands until you get a homogeneous mass.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a cloth and let it rest for about 1 hour, or until the dough doubles in size.
- After the dough has risen, place it in an oiled loaf pan and let it rest again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Place the bread in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
