North American government stated that its objective is to prevent “hostile actions” against Israelis
The United States Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, announced this Saturday (October 14, 2023) the sending of a 2nd aircraft carrier, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, to the Middle East. The vessel will join the USS Gerald R. Ford, which arrived off the coast of Israel earlier this week.
“The increases in U.S. force posture signal the United States’ firm commitment to Israel’s security and our determination to deter any intervention by a state or otherwise that seeks to escalate this war,” says Lloyd Austin not communicated.
The message about external interference can be interpreted as a message to:
- Will – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hosein Amir-Abdolahian, said on Thursday (Oct 12) that if Israel’s bombing of the Gaza Strip is not stopped, the war could unfold in “other fronts”;
- Hezbollah – the deputy head of the group, Naim Qassem, stated on Friday (13.Oct.2023) that the Lebanese extremist group “knows his duties perfectly” and it is “completely soon” to contribute to the fights in the war between Israel and Hamas.
