Pope leaves hospital and, in a message, reinforces concern with the Gaza Strip

After almost 40 days of hospitalization, Pope Francis was discharged on Sunday (23). Shortly before leaving the Gemelli Hospital in Rome, the pontiff appeared on the balcony to thank the support of those who were wakeful and around the world, cheered for their recovery. In a message released by the Vatican, the Pope again asked for peace and showing concern about the serious humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip after resumption of Israeli attacks.

At 88, Francisco was hospitalized on February 14 to deal with breathing problems.
