The 2nd largest Stock Exchange in the United States closed the day on a high, at 16,794.88 points

Nasdaq, the 2nd largest Stock Exchange in the United States, broke a record this Monday (May 20, 2024). At closing, the North American index was at 16,794.88 points, with a change of 0.65% on the day. The peak was reached around 1 pm, with 16,823.83 points.

The results were driven by the expectation of positive results from the technology company Nvidia, which has invested in AI (Artificial Intelligence) along with cell phone chips. The company’s flagship in 2024 was the launch of the Blackwell B200 chip.

Nvidia shares closed the day at $947.80, up 2.49%. The balance sheet was released on Wednesday (May 22).

Of the other United States stock exchanges, the S&P 500 (+0.9%) rose. The Dow Jones (-0.49%) fell.

May 20, 2024 (8pm) – unlike the post above, Nvidia is a technology company, not a telephone company. The text has been corrected and updated.
