“Remember when Bolsonaro was the fascist? Yes, me too,” said Sean; Bolsonaro supporters used a post to indirectly criticize Lula

The son of singer John Lennon and artist Yoko Ono, musician Sean Lennon, spoke about former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on the social network X (formerly Twitter). “Remember when Bolsonaro was the fascist? Yes, me too“, he wrote on Wednesday (April 10, 2024).

The publication was made after criticism began from the owner of the platform, businessman Elon Musk, to the minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) Alexandre de Moraes and to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). Bolsonarists responded to the comment by interpreting it as an indirect criticism of the current head of the Executive.

Federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) was one of the president’s supporters to comment. In response to the publication, he said: “He guesses? He was not”.

Federal deputy Bia Kicis (PL-DF) also responded to the publication. “Ah yes, the fascist who respects freedom and never imposes his own will”.

Even though he did not directly quote businessman Elon Musk, Sean’s publication was considered a nod to the billionaire’s statements. The owner of X has criticized what he considers a “dictatorship” by STF minister Alexandre de Moraes against profiles considered extremist on the platform. He says that Moraes has Lula in “a collara”.

This Friday (April 12), Sean liked a post by the businessman together with the president of Argentina, Javier Milei. The caption said: “Freedom!”, one of the mottos of both. The head of the Argentine Executive is scheduled to visit the United States. They met at the Tesla factory in the morning.
