Flavor and simplicity are the face of this cornmeal bread with guava!

Ingredients

  • 3 whole eggs

  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 cup wheat flour (tea)

  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar

  • 1 cup cornmeal (tea)

  • 1 cup of milk (tea)

  • 1/2 cup (tea)

  • 300 grams of guava

  • Water

  • Salt

Directions

  • In a vase add the eggs, sugar and mix very well until uniformed.
  • Add the butter or margarine, salt, milk, cornmeal and sifted wheat flour.
  • Mix very well and add the yeast, stir until the dough is homogenized and transfer to a greased and sprinkled form.
  • Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 180º₢ for about 40 minutes, remove and let cool at room temperature.
  • Place the diced guava paste, water and a pinch of salt in a pan and stir over medium or low heat until melted.
  • Add the guava paste over the unmolded cornmeal bread and the recipe is ready to be served.
