President of France met the president of Brazil at the G7 summit, in Borgo Egnazia, Italy
French President Emmanuel Macron (Renaissance, center)said this Friday (June 14, 2024) that he will continue with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) defending the “universal values” which are the basis of the countries’ democracy. The 2 met at the G7 summit, in Borgo Egnazia, in the Puglia region, in southern Italy.
“Together, we will continue to face the great challenges of our time and defend the universal values that are the foundation of our democracies”declared Macron when sharing a photo with Lula on social media.

The group brings together leaders from the 7 most industrialized economies in the world. The PT member was invited by the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni (Brothers of Italy, right). It is the 8th time that the PT member has participated in the summit as a guest – 6 times in his first 2 governments and in 2023, in his 1st year of his 3rd term.
