Ingredients
1 liter of milk
1 box of cream
1 can of condensed milk
5 heaping tablespoons of powdered milk
6 tablespoons cornstarch/cornstarch
1 box of cream
2 bars of semisweet chocolate (160g)
Powdered milk to taste to finish (optional)
Directions
- In a thick-bottomed pan off the heat, place the cornstarch and condensed milk and stir until dissolved.
- Add the milk, powdered milk and stir again with the heat still off.
- Turn on the heat and stir constantly over medium heat until it boils.
- Continue stirring well for another 2 minutes, turn off the heat and add the cream.
- Stir well until the cream is smooth and uniform and pour into a heatproof container.
- Cover the mixture with plastic wrap in contact with the cream and set aside.
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time or in a bain-marie, add the cream and stir well.
- Remove the plastic wrap from the cream and gently spread the ganache over the top of the dessert.
- Add powdered milk to taste on top of the ganache, cover the dessert and leave in the refrigerator for 6 hours or more.
- When the dessert is cold and has a firmer consistency, it is ready to serve.
