Poached eggs/eggs in a shell are one of the easiest and most practical options for a meal!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • Oil or olive oil

  • Water for cooking

  • Salt to taste for seasoning

Directions

  • Heat a pot of water until boiling. Dip the ladle in the water and wait for it to heat up.
  • Grease the shell with a little oil or olive oil and leave it on top of the water without submerging it.
  • Open the egg, place it in the shell and keep the shell with the egg above the boiling water without submerging it.
  • Cook the egg for a few minutes in the shell and then dip it into the hot water.
  • Let the egg cook in hot water until the yolk is at the consistency you prefer (softer or harder).
  • Carefully remove the egg from the water with the ladle, drain the water and transfer it to a plate.
  • Repeat the process with the other egg, finish by adding salt on top and the recipe is ready.
