Court ruled this Tuesday (June 18) that the ban made by COGES Events was discriminatory

The French Court decided this Tuesday (June 18, 2024) to readmit the participation of Israeli companies in the weapons exhibition event Eurosatory. The court ruled that the ban made by COGES Events was discriminatory, and therefore should not exist. The information is from New York Times.

The event organizer had complied with the decision of the French Ministry of Defense, excluding Israeli companies from the event and removing their mentions from the official website. The measure was taken by the French government due to Israel’s offensives in Gaza.

Therefore, Israeli companies did not participate in the first day of the event, which started on Monday (June 17). Russian companies were also not present at the fair due to the country’s invasion of Ukraine.

Eurosatory is a biennial event held on the outskirts of Paris. It brings together more than 2,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries. It is a platform for showcasing technological advances in the defense sector, including drones and missiles.
