PRIME MINISTER OF SLOVAKIA IS SHOT
On Wednesday (May 15, 2024) the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, suffered a shooting attack and was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Handlová, about 190km from the capital Bratislava. A 71-year-old man, suspected of being responsible, was arrested by authorities.
After suffering the attack, I underwent 5 hours of surgery and was in a “stable” condition, according to the director of the hospital where the prime minister was admitted.
US ELECTIONS
On Monday (May 13, 2024) a voting intention survey carried out by Sienna College and published by New York Timesshowed that the Republican pre-candidate for the White House, Donald Trump, is ahead of the Democratic pre-candidate, Joe Biden, in the swing statesthe states considered decisive for the outcome of the election.
Among the 6 swing states, Trump leads in 2 states and remains ahead of Biden in 3, but tied in the margin of error. According to the survey, Biden leads voting intentions only in Michigan.

On Wednesday (May 15, 2024) Trump accepted Joe Biden’s invitation to 2 electoral debates.

GEORGIA PARLIAMENT APPROVES “RUSSIAN LAW” UNDER CIVILIAN PROTESTS
On Tuesday (May 14, 2024) the Georgian parliament approved by 86 votes to 30 a law that obliges non-governmental organizations and media outlets that receive more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register as “agents of influence foreign”.

At the meeting, Xi stated that China and Russia are “a stabilizing force in the world in the face of growing hegemony”.
