Gilad Erdan claims that the Ayatollahs’ regime is no different from the “3rd Reich” and that Ali Khamenei is no different from “Adolf Hitler”
Israel’s ambassador to the UN (United Nations), Gilad Erdan, stated this Sunday (April 14, 2024) that the Iranian regime is like the “Nazi regime”. According to him, Ali Khamenei, the country’s Supreme Leader, is no different from “Adolf Hitler”German dictator and central figure of World War II and the Holocaust, which killed almost 6 million Jews.
“The ayatollahs’ regime is very clear. Its objective has been and continues to be global domination to take the Shiite revolution throughout the world. Today’s Islamic regime is no different from the 3rd Reich and Ayatollah Khamenei is no different from Adolf Hitler.”said Erdan.
The statement was made during his speech at the emergency meeting of the UN National Council, which met this Sunday (14 April) to discuss Iran’s missile and drone attack on Israel on Saturday (13 April). According to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), around 99% of them were shot down.
According to Erdan, the Iranian attack was a “flagrant violation of international rights.” He further said that “Iran and its demonic ambitions for global domination should be ended before they bring the world to the point of no return, of a regional war that could escalate into a world war.”.
The offensive took place in response to an airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, on April 1, which left 8 people dead. After the incident, both countries blamed the attack on Israel. According to the Al Jazeeraamong those killed, were the general of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Mohammad Reza Zahedi and his number 2, Mohammad Hadi Hajriahimi.
In an interview with CNN, Brazil’s ambassador to Iran, Eduardo Gradilone, said he spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. According to Gradilone, the understanding would be that the matter would now be closed and that it would be “US obligation to convince Israel of this and simply end hostilities”.
“There was an attempt to close the matter. So much so that there was an attempt on their part, and the only doubt is what Israel’s reaction will be to this. Therefore, an appeal is made to the US to exercise the power it has with Israel to dissipate this tension.”he stated.
IRAN X ISRAEL
