Ingredients

  • 200g semi-sweet chocolate

  • 200g milk chocolate

  • 1 cup of cream

  • 1 tablespoon of brandy (optional)

  • Fresh fruit (strawberries, banana, grapes) cut into pieces

  • Marshmallows

  • Cakes or cookies to dip in chocolate

Directions

  • Chop the semi-sweet chocolate and milk chocolate into small pieces to make melting easier.
  • In a pan over low heat, heat the cream until it starts to boil. Do not let it boil completely.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and add the chopped chocolates. Stir continuously until all the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • If desired, add brandy to the melted chocolate mixture and stir well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a preheated fondue pot or fondue dish.
  • Keep the chocolate fondue over low heat while serving to prevent the chocolate from hardening.
  • Serve the fondue with fresh fruit, marshmallows and pieces of cake or cookies to dip in chocolate.
  • Enjoy the warm and delicious chocolate fondue!
