The former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, asked the Attorney General of the Bolivian Republic to promote an “immediate and transparent” investigation against Argentine Fernando Cerimedo, campaign strategist for the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, and current advisor to the president of Bolivia, Rodrigo Paz, who was arrested on Tuesday (18) at Viru Viru airport, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

Morales took to social media to address the case. In the post, he opined that the investigation into the Cerimedo case “must cover the irregularities and corruption denounced by Nadia Beller, which involve the president, his wife and other authorities”.

Cerimedo, who is known as one of the main communication strategists of the Latin American far right and an ally of the Bolsonarist nucleus, is the target of a complaint filed by lawyer Nadia Beller, his ex-wife, who accuses him of leading a secret group of the Bolivian Police without institutional supervision.

On Monday (17), Beller was shot three times at the door of a hotel in Bolivia. The local police work with different hypotheses, one of which is that she and Cerimedo had a marital conflict, and that he was responsible for the attack. The consultant’s defense has not yet commented on the case.

In the post, Morales recalls that he reported two direct threats that he had received from Cerimedo. “One of the threats occurred on May 14, when, on his social media account, he cited one of my publications and published an aggressive message with the word ‘tic-tac’, as if my life was running out,” reported the former president. In the post mentioned by Morales, Cerimedo replicates a criticism made by Evo and comments: “The strength of the narco’s silver mobilizes you, pedophile narco. Tictac.”

Nadia Beller, who is recovering from injuries caused by the attack, had already reported that there was an elite group prepared to enter the Chapare region, in Cochabamba, to kidnap Evo Morales. This Wednesday (19), the former Bolivian president gave an interview to the radio 750from Argentina, and defined Cerimedo as an “agent of the empire”. “The woman says that [Cerimedo] He was a CIA agent. His actions are those of an agent of the empire. His way of doing politics, creating problems, creating enemies, polarizing”, he reported.

Digital strategist, Cerimedo is the founder of the Numen agency, also heading the portal The Right Diary. In the 2022 presidential elections, the strategist, while still living in Argentina, received former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro in October of that year. At the time, himself The Right Diary published that, alongside Numen, it sponsored the then parliamentarian’s trip to the Argentine capital.
