The aircraft failed to perform a climb maneuver and collided with the ground; 2 people died
A firefighting plane crashes during a mission to the island of Evia, Greece. The accident occurred on this 3rd (July 25, 2023), while the aircraft was trying to put out the fire in a part of the forest, which has been spreading for more than 10 days. The 2 pilots died. In a note, the Greek Ministry of Defense regretted what happened. “It is deeply saddened by the loss of lives of Air Force Officers and firefighting aircraft operators in the line of duty and in trying to protect the lives and property of citizens, as well as our country’s environment.”
