Warm up the cold atmosphere of the June festival in a very tasty way with mulled wine!

Ingredients

  • 500ml of water

  • 2 chopped apples

  • 1 liter of sweet or dry red wine

  • 1 full cup (tea) of sugar (200g)

  • Cloves and cinnamon sticks (quantity to taste)

Directions

  • Place the sugar, cloves and cinnamon sticks to taste in a pan.
  • Bring to a boil and melt the sugar until it caramelizes, stirring occasionally.
  • Gradually add the wine, water and chopped apples.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the caramel melts and the mixture thickens.
  • After it starts to boil, cook the mulled wine for a few more minutes.
  • Transfer the mulled wine to a pitcher if you prefer and it is ready to serve.
