An attack carried out by the Israeli Armed Forces this Tuesday (29) on a residential building in the city of Beit Lahiyan left at least 93 Palestinians dead in the Gaza Strip. For weeks now, the IDF has been surrounding the northern region of the enclave, leaving a trail of crimes against humanity.

The information about the Israeli bombing was confirmed by the official Palestinian news agency to the Reuters agency. According to data from the Gaza Ministry of Health, many victims were children and women. Dozens of people were injured.

Many of the injured were rushed to Kamal Adwan Hospital inside the Jabalia refugee camp, which is closest to Beit Lahiya. However, the medical complex is struggling.

According to hospital officials, there are no more medical supplies and the team has only two pediatricians, no surgeons. Israeli forces arrested dozens of people in the hospital days ago. Doctor Hossam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan, told Al Jazeera last Friday (25) that most surgeons had been detained, meaning urgent procedures could not be carried out.

Since the start of the war, on October 7, 2023, 43,020 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip – most of them women and children – and 101,110 have been injured, according to the enclave’s Ministry of Health.
