The Great Palace of the People, in Beijing, enjoyed a special night this Monday (30), with the reception commemorating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the result of the triumph of the New Democracy Revolution, on October 1, 1949.

Inspired by the great and noble ideals of ancient generations of revolutionary leaders and fighters and those who gave their lives for China’s liberation and modernization, President Xi Jinping, who is also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and president of the Central Military Commission, gave an important speech before 3 thousand national and international guests.

Comprehensively promoting the construction of a strong country and national rejuvenation with Chinese modernization is the central task of the Party and the country in the new era and new journey”, he stated.

The Chinese people have every reason to be proud of this great historical achievement. The New Democracy Revolution is an epic, the most glorious fact in the history of the multi-millennial nation. Without the victory of this revolution, the new China would not exist.

At the opening of his speech, Xi Jinping highlighted the magnitude of the historic feat that China is celebrating: “Today, we gather to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. 75 years ago, the founding of the People’s Republic of China marked the rise of the Chinese people and opened a new historical era of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Over the past 75 years, our Party has united and led people from all ethnic groups in the country to work tirelessly and created two miracles: rapid economic development and long-term social stability”.

The Chinese leader mentioned four guidelines in his speech to promote “Chinese-style modernization”:

First: “We must adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China.” Xi emphasized the guiding principle that the CCP’s leadership is the defining feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Second: “We must adhere to the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.” Shortly before this jubilee anniversary, the Communist Party of China held the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, which decided to adopt the line of broader and deeper reform to create a new paradigm of high-quality development.

Third: “We must adhere to the people-centered approach.” One of the greatest achievements of the Chinese people since the triumph of the New Democracy Revolution is the constant improvement in their quality of life, confirming the maxim that the objective of the Communist Party of China when exercising governance over the country is to fight for the happiness of the people. and serve him.

Fourth: “We must adhere to the path of peaceful development.” With this directive, the Chinese leader reaffirms the purposes of development, cooperation, peace and construction of a community with a shared future for all humanity, which is yet another demonstration that the triumph of the New Democracy Revolution and the successes of building the socialism in China are beneficial to the world.

President Xi Jinping also made an emphatic appeal for the unity of the Chinese nation: “Achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is the common aspiration of all Chinese people, including compatriots in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. We will comprehensively, accurately and unswervingly implement the principles of “one country, two systems”…Taiwan is an integral part of the territory of China…We must deepen economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation across the Taiwan Strait and resolutely oppose separatist activities which aim at ‘Taiwan independence’”.

President Xi Jinping ended his speech with words of confidence in China’s bright future: “We firmly believe that the Chinese nation, which has created a glorious civilization for more than 5,000 years, will create new and greater glory in the new era and new journey, and make new and greater contributions to the noble cause of peace and development of mankind,” and then warned against potential risks and challenges on the road ahead. “We must remain alert to potential dangers and be well prepared,” he said, calling for efforts to resolutely overcome uncertainties and unexpected risks and challenges.

Brazil and China: golden jubilee

This year Brazil and China celebrated the golden jubilee of their diplomatic ties. Both countries look to the past with joy for having come a long way and look to the future with optimism. These are 50 years of notable mutual achievements. During this period, Brazil and China are following a path of peace, prosperity and common development. A high expression of this was the presentation last Sunday (29) by Chinese President Xi Jinping of the Friendship Medal to former president Dilma Rousseff, a high-level decoration. On the occasion, the Chinese leader highlighted that, over the past 75 years, there have been many old and close friends in the world who shared the same aspirations as the Chinese people and worked together in difficult times, and Dilma Rousseff is an excellent representative of them. Dilma thanked them for their trust and friendship and said that the medal symbolizes the bond of friendly cooperation between Brazil and China and praised the path taken by China in achieving notable successes.
