Whole Grain Bread with 3 Grains (Multigrain Bread)

Learning how to make multigrain bread at home has never been easier!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole egg

  • 3 tablespoons oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 cup wholemeal flour (tea)

  • 2 cups wheat flour (tea)

  • 1 cup of water (warm)

  • 1/2 cup (tea) grain mix (sesame, linseed and chia etc)

  • 10 grams of dry yeast

  • 1 beaten egg for brushing on the dough

  • Seeds to decorate

Directions

  • Add the yeast, sugar and warm water, beat very well with a mixer or mix manually with a spoon.
  • Cover the mixture with a cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes. 
    Add the egg, oil, salt, grains, wholemeal flour and mix very well.
  • Add the wheat flour and stir until homogenized. 
    Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes.
  • Place the dough in a bowl, cover again with a cloth and let it rest for 45 minutes to an hour to rise.
  • Opening and rolling the dough with your hands, shape the bread in the way you prefer and transfer it to a bread pan greased with oil.
  • Let the dough rest for another hour and a half covered with the cloth, so that it doubles in size.
  • Brush the beaten egg over all the dough and then sprinkle seeds of your choice on top.
  • Bake the wholemeal bread in a preheated oven at 200º₢ for about 40 minutes, unmold after cooling and it is ready to eat.
