US presidential candidate escorted away as he bled after rally was interrupted by gunfire
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) spoke out on social media against the attack suffered by former US President Donald Trump this Saturday (13.Jul.2024). The Brazilian leader said that the aggression is “unacceptable” and must be repudiated by “all defenders of democracy“.
Trump had to be rushed out of a rally he was holding in Butler, Pennsylvania, after the event was interrupted by gunfire. According to the AP news agency, the shooter was killed. A person in the audience also died.
The Republican Party candidate for the White House was giving a speech when he touched his right ear, suggesting that he might have been hit by something in the area. He was then removed from the scene by Secret Service agents. It is possible to see that there was blood on the politician’s ear.
