Ingredients

  • 1 can of tuna in water, drained

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons of cream

  • 1 teaspoon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional seasonings: chopped onion, garlic powder, parsley or chives

Directions

  • In a bowl, break up the tuna with a fork, making sure there are no large pieces.
  • Add mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard and lemon juice to the tuna. Mix well.
  • If desired, add optional seasonings, such as chopped onion, garlic powder, parsley or chives. This will give the pâté more flavor.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep in mind that canned tuna may already contain salt, so adjust according to your taste.
  • Mix all ingredients until you obtain a homogeneous consistency.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors blend.
  • Serve the tuna pâté with toast, bread, crackers or vegetables for dipping.
