Ingredients
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons pickled cucumber (finely chopped)
2 tablespoons red onion (finely chopped)
1 tablespoon capers (chopped)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, pickled cucumber, red onion, capers, lemon juice, parsley, mustard, and garlic powder.
Stir well to combine all ingredients. - Taste the sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
If you prefer a spicier sauce, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili sauce. - Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving, so the flavors blend and the sauce is well chilled.
- Serve tartar sauce with fish, seafood, French fries or any other food you prefer.
