Ingredients

  • Pastry dough (ready or homemade)

  • Sausages

  • Frying oil

  • Toothpicks (optional, to secure the rolls)

Directions

  • Preheat the oil in a deep pan or fryer to a medium-high temperature for frying.
  • Open the package of pastry dough and cut it into rectangles about 5 cm wide.
  • Place a sausage in the corner of each rectangle of dough.
  • Roll the dough tightly around the sausage until it is completely covered. 
    If you prefer, you can secure the dough with toothpicks to prevent it from coming loose during frying.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining sausages and pasta.
  • Carefully place the sausage rolls in the hot oil, little by little, without overloading the pan.
  • Fry the rolls until golden and crispy. 
    This usually takes about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Remove the rolls from the pan with a slotted slotted spoon or spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • Repeat the frying process with the remaining rolls.
  • Serve the sausage rolls warm, accompanied by your favorite sauces, such as ketchup, mustard or mayonnaise.
