Separate these 3 simple ingredients and be surprised by the taste of this roasted German cocada!

Ingredients

  • 190 grams of egg whites (white of 5 jumbo eggs)

  • 250 grams of dehydrated grated coconut (1/4 of the package)

  • 250 grams of caster sugar (1 and 1/2 cup)

Directions

  • In a pan add the egg whites, sugar, desiccated grated coconut and mix well.
  • Take the pan to the fire and stir the mixture non-stop for approximately 5 minutes, until it easily comes off the bottom of the pan.
  • Turn off the heat and stir for another 30 seconds. 
    Shape the coconuts with the help of 2 spoons and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 13 minutes in a preheated oven at 180º₢, until the German cocadas are golden brown and ready to serve.
