Pineapple Pie with Puff Pastry

The union of the dough texture and the pineapple flavor makes this recipe a delicious dessert!

Ingredients

  • puff pastry

  • 1/2 cup (tea) of sugar

  • 1/2 large pineapple

  • 2 egg yolks

Directions

  • Chop the pineapple into cubes, transfer to a pan or skillet and add the sugar.
  • Stir constantly over medium heat until it reaches a jelly stage, turn off the heat and set aside.
  • Cut pieces of puff pastry into round shapes and add a little pineapple jam to each one.
  • Glue the sides of the dough together forming a basket with each one and place strips of dough on top of the pineapple jam.
  • Brush the beaten egg yolks over the tartlets and bake in a preheated oven at 180º₢ for about 20 minutes.
  • Wait for the pineapple tarts to cool down a bit before serving and they are ready to eat.
