Venezuelan president said he was “always with Christ the Redeemer” and asked for prayers for the country
The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, published this Sunday (3 March 2024) a photo of a painting in which he appears with Jesus.
In your profile on X (former Twitter), the Chief Executive said he won the piece in 2022 and has it on display in his home. He also asked for prayers for the country.
The painting depicts Maduro controlling the helm of a vessel with “Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela” inscribed on it. Behind, Jesus holds the side of the rudder with one hand and the president’s shoulder with the other.
“Look at this painting you gave me as a gift… I’ve had it here at home since 2022…Always with Christ the Redeemer…Let’s unite our prayers for Venezuela…”, wrote Maduro.
