minutesHomemade cheese bread, a simple recipe from Minas Gerais, easy and quick to make’, the real traditional bread, made with sour sprinkles, is just like my grandma’s cheese bread.
Ingredients
1 cup (tea) of milk (200 ml)
1/2 cup (tea) water (100 ml)
1/2 cup (tea) lard or oil
1 table spoon of salt
3 cups of sour sprinkles (tea)
1 cup (tea) mozzarella cheese or half cure
1 egg
Directions
- Put the milk, oil and salt in a pan.Â
Take to the high fire and, when it boils, pour the mixture over the sprinkle previously placed in a bowl; - Mix the starch with the liquid, until it completely absorbs all the liquid, then add the egg and cheese.Â
Mix with your hands until you get a smooth dough; - Then, roll small balls in the palm of your hand, placing them in a greased rectangular baking dish.Â
Take to bake in preheated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.
