Ingredients

  • 3 cups of milk tea

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 teacups of sugar

  • 1 cup of cornmeal

  • 1/2 cup of wheat flour

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a medium pan (approximately 22 cm in diameter) with butter and flour or use baking paper to line the bottom of the pan.
  • In a blender, place the milk, eggs, sugar, cornmeal, wheat flour, butter and salt. 
    Beat well until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Then add the baking powder and mix lightly with a spoon or by stirring quickly in the blender in pulse mode.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 to 50 minutes, or until the cake is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before unmolding.
