This Condensed Milk Pudding will be delicious using the ingredients below and following the step-by-step instructions to make it work.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk (395g)

  • 2 cans of milk (use the empty condensed milk can to measure)

  • 3 whole eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)

  • 1 cup sugar to caramelize

Directions

  • Caramelize a pudding mold with sugar: In a pan, melt the sugar over medium heat until you get a golden caramel.
Pour the caramel into the mold and spread it evenly over the bottom and sides.
    Set aside the caramelized pan.
  • Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  • Prepare the pudding dough: In a blender, place the condensed milk, milk, eggs and vanilla essence (if using).
Beat well until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pour into the mold: Pour the pudding mixture into the caramelized mold, covering the entire surface with the dough.
  • Bake in a water bath: Place the pudding mold inside a larger mold and then add enough hot water to the larger mold to reach about half the height of the pudding mold.
  • Bake the pudding: Place in the oven in a bain-marie and bake for approximately 1 hour.
    To check if it’s ready, insert a toothpick into the center of the pudding;
if it comes out clean, the pudding is ready.
  • Cool and unmold: Remove the pudding mold from the oven and let it cool.
Once cooled completely, refrigerate for a few hours or overnight to firm up.
When ready, turn out the pudding onto a serving plate.
  • Serve: The condensed milk pudding is ready to be served!
If desired, you can decorate with caramel sauce, fruit or chocolate shavings.
