Communists from Israel, Iran and USA release joint note against war

The attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran represent “the prelude to total domination over other countries in the region”. The complaint was made, in a “Joint Declaration”, by the Communist Parties of Iran (TUDEH), Israel (CPI) and the United States (CPUSA).

Although critical of the Iranian regime, the parties claim that the war promoted by the Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu governments is illegitimate. According to the joint note, “true liberation and salvation from reactionary and authoritarian regimes, as well as their change, can only come through the action of the people and patriotic leaders – not from Washington or Tel Aviv”.

Joint Declaration of the Communist Parties of Iran (TUDEH), Israel (CPI) and the United States (CPUSA)

The war of aggression launched by Netanyahu’s criminal government and US imperialism in the early hours of Saturday morning against Iran has triggered a full-scale war and dragged the region and its people into further disasters and civilian casualties – all in the service of imperialist interests, against the interests of the people, their independence and their right to self-determination, in an effort to dominate and control the region and the world.

The Trump administration’s declaration of its intention to promote “regime change” in a sovereign country in the region and elsewhere on the Latin American continent is a gross violation of the sovereignty and dignity of the people, and a dismantling of the meaning of the existence of international law and all previously established norms, even if these often do not benefit the people; It is a danger that grows with each war and aggression by the United States and Israel.

The experiences of the people in Palestine, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Lebanon and in all countries in the southern half of the globe that face colonialism and imperialism cannot be ignored – true liberation and salvation from reactionary and authoritarian regimes, as well as their change, can only come through the action of the people and patriotic leaders – not from Washington or Tel Aviv.

We reiterate that this attack on Iran and the Iranian people is the prelude to total domination over other countries in the region, a plan that the Israeli government and the US administration do not hesitate to reveal. We also affirm that this US-Israel imperialist military aggression not only does not herald the liberation of Iran from the yoke of tyranny and the current dictatorship, but is also an attempt to destroy Iran as a capable regional state, and to replace the current government with a subordinate and authoritarian regime that has previously announced its program of bloody suppression of its opponents.

As internationalist communist parties, we call on all forces seeking true liberation from the regimes of exploitation and oppression in each of our countries, as well as the forces loving peace and progress in the world, to unite their efforts with all their vigor in these critical and decisive moments, in order to fight against governments of war and aggression.
