Ingredients
200g semi-sweet chocolate
200g milk chocolate
1 cup of cream
1 tablespoon of brandy (optional)
Fresh fruit (strawberries, banana, grapes) cut into pieces
Marshmallows
Cakes or cookies to dip in chocolate
Directions
- Chop the semi-sweet chocolate and milk chocolate into small pieces to make melting easier.
- In a pan over low heat, heat the cream until it starts to boil. Do not let it boil completely.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add the chopped chocolates. Stir continuously until all the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- If desired, add brandy to the melted chocolate mixture and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to a preheated fondue pot or fondue dish.
- Keep the chocolate fondue over low heat while serving to prevent the chocolate from hardening.
- Serve the fondue with fresh fruit, marshmallows and pieces of cake or cookies to dip in chocolate.
