Ingredients
4 chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup of wheat flour
2 eggs
2 cups of breadcrumbs
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cups of tomato sauce
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
Frying oil
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Bread the chicken breasts: coat each breast in the wheat flour, then in the beaten eggs and, finally, in the breadcrumb and parmesan cheese mixture.
- In a large frying pan, heat enough oil to fry. Fry the chicken breasts over medium heat until golden on both sides. Remove and place on paper towel to drain excess oil.
- On a baking sheet, spread a thin layer of tomato sauce. Place the chicken breasts over the sauce.
- Cover each breast with more tomato sauce and sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
