500g beef (filet mignon, sirloin or other tender meat), cut into thin strips
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or oil
1 tablespoon of ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
200g sliced ​​mushrooms (optional)
1 can of cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter or heat the oil over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until they are golden.
- Add the meat cut into strips and cook until it is golden on all sides.
- If using mushrooms, add them to the skillet and cook for a few more minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce, stirring well to incorporate the flavors.
- Reduce the heat and let it cook for a few minutes until the meat is fully cooked.
- Turn off the heat and add the cream, mixing well to obtain a creamy sauce.
